Nextel and ClickSoftware Products Combine to Create Powerful Field Service Optimization Solution


 
  CAMPBELL, Calif., Feb. 2, 2001 ClickSoftware (Nasdaq: CKSW), a leading provider of end-to-end service chain optimization solutions, and Nextel Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: NXTL) the nation's leading provider of fully integrated wireless communications focusing on business solutions with the largest guaranteed all-digital wireless network in the United States, have entered into a co-marketing agreement.
Nextel and ClickSoftware will jointly promote ClickSoftware's ClickSchedule and ClickMobile applications. These applications optimize field worker productivity and customer satisfaction through real-time scheduling of field workers based on field worker status and skill level. Field service professionals will have instant voice and data communication through Nextel Direct Connect and Nextel Two-Way MessagingSM to home office personnel and scheduling systems.

ClickSchedule is the premier scheduling optimization solution for medium and large service organizations. The application can be integrated with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or other customer-facing systems to provide automatic scheduling of service personnel. ClickSchedule provides scheduling capabilities based on skills, location, customer contracts, travel time and other customer-specific business rules.
ClickMobile, a key component in ClickSoftware's suite of service chain optimization products, enables service representatives in the field to send and receive updated schedule information throughout the day. Through seamless integration with ClickSoftware's ClickSchedule, ClickMobile enables automatic, real-time rescheduling to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.
ClickMobile enables service resources to interact with ClickSchedule via Nextel's Two-Way Messaging Service. With Nextel Two-Way Messaging, the user experience is very intuitive making it easy to send, receive and respond to messages. Nextel/ClickMobile interfaces wirelessly with the ClickSchedule application to adjust and optimize schedules dynamically in response to field user status updates.
