Blue Pumpkin Software Caps Impressive Growth

Blue Pumpkin announced record revenues for its fourth quarter and for the year ending December 31, 2000. The company's fourth quarter revenue growth increased 222% over the fourth quarter 1999 and 54% over the third quarter 2000. The company also reported an overall year-to-year revenue increase of 103% from 1999 to 2000. License revenue, maintenance and service revenue in the fourth quarter 2000 increased by 22% and 102%, respectively, over revenues for the third quarter, 2000. For the entire year 2000, the license revenue, maintenance and service revenue gains were 71% and 483%, respectively, over revenues in 1999. "Demand for Blue Pumpkin's workforce optimization solutions continues to grow as more companies view contact center efficiencies as essential for running a successful business," said Doron Aspitz, Blue Pumpkin chief executive officer. "Retaining customers and keeping good employees have always been important, but it becomes even more crucial given today's economic climate." Aspitz added that in the coming year, Blue Pumpkin plans to continue to push the functionality envelope of its PrimeTime enterprise workforce optimization software, without compromising its hallmark ease-of-use. Achievement-Packed Fourth Quarter As part of a continuing commitment to extend its leadership in the workforce management industry, Blue Pumpkin acquired Coleman Consulting Group, a leader in providing services and solutions that optimize the use of human capital and resources across industries. Blue Pumpkin plans to integrate Coleman Consulting's best practices and optimization methodologies into its PrimeTime product family. The list of Blue Pumpkin customers continued to grow exponentially with 92 new customers added in the fourth quarter including Avis Group UK, Deutsche Bank, EDS, Kaiser Permanente, Kmart, KPMG, Merrill Lynch and Verizon. Blue Pumpkin bolstered its executive management team by naming 19-year marketing veteran William Seawick to the posts of executive vice president and chief marketing officer. Blue Pumpkin also appointed customer-care luminary and 25-year industry veteran Bill Durr to the position of chief evangelist. Durr will champion his world-class customer service philosophy on behalf of Blue Pumpkin, while Seawick is chartered with driving global marketing and business development initiatives. Industry recognition for Blue Pumpkin's product innovation continued with PrimeTime 3.0 receiving the Customer Inter@action Solutions Product of the Year 2000 Award for best workforce management/analysis software. PrimeTime Exchange earned further recognition as the Communications Solutions Product of the Year, also in the workforce management category. Blue Pumpkin concluded the year with more than 250 customers and partners participating in its user and partner conferences. Both events focused on the use of workforce management solutions for quality customer service in today's new economy.
