The announcement was made at the Amdocs Worldwide User Group conference being held in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. Amdocs Open APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) enable third-party applications to interface with Amdocs’ industry leading software platforms Ensemble and the recently announced Amdocs 3G platform. The Open APIs enable the rapid integration of third-party applications with Amdocs software platforms, enhancing the value that Amdocs’ end-to-end solutions provide customers. Amdocs Open API software is being implemented at Amdocs customers worldwide, including at Vodafone, the leading UK mobile service provider.

Amdocs Open APIs allow operators to leverage Amdocs’ end-to-end solution in a multi-vendor environment. Amdocs’ web-enabled applications, such as self-service, online service for remote dealers and point-of-sale systems already utilize Amdocs Open APIs, which are based on Enterprise Java Beans (EJB) and XML technology.
